HISTORY OF THE ACHENSEE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB
A total of 14 founding members founded the "Golf and Country Club Achensee" on May 4th, 1934 and on June 18th, 1934 the course was officially opened with 9 holes. This makes it the oldest golf club in Tyrol and one of the first clubs in Austria. Since the renovation in 1995 and the expansion in 2003, 18 holes have been available to golfers and in 2015 the completely covered driving range with a spacious practice area was reopened. Another highlight was the vote for the best golf club in Austria in 2010. And in 2013 the GLC Achensee was also included in the selected group of "Leading Golf Courses".
The 18-hole course extends over 62 hectares on the edge of the Karwendel Nature Park, away from the hustle and bustle. Whether on the spacious driving range, with 18 covered tees. Whether on the putting and chipping greens, the pitching area or the bunker practice area, our golfers can train and perfect their game everywhere - surrounded by lush nature.

The golf school at Lake Achensee was founded in 2006 by PGA professional Thomas Fankhauser and has been systematically developed ever since. The current golf training system at the Achensee golf school is a symbiosis of experience and the effects of different teaching philosophies as well as data and facts about modern golf and measurement technology, biomechanics and biodynamics. RESTAURANT & BAR IN THE CLUB HOUSE
The club gastronomy offers a pleasant feel-good atmosphere for up to 130 people. It is also used for larger events, celebrations, as well as for evening events at golf tournaments. When the weather is nice, you can relax on the spacious terrace with a view of the mighty mountain panorama and the golf course.
