The golf course is situated in the heart of the " Murau Wood World " and boasts a distinctive, unique wooden design. Wooden palisades define ponds, greens, and bunkers, while an ancient alpine hut serves as the halfway house. A three-hundred-year-old farmhouse has been revitalized as the greenkeeper's station, and naturally, the entire wayfinding system on the course is also made of wood. From the terrace of the beautiful clubhouse, you can overlook a large part of the course and thus be right in the middle of the golfing action before or after your round. From here, you can witness many an exciting finish on the 18th island green.

The perfect course design was recognized after the very first season: in 2008, GC Murau – Kreischberg received the award “ Best New Course in Austria”!
